Hungary's policy debate is dominated by voices with a direct financial interest in state expansion — government-funded academics, publicly subsidised media, and NGOs dependent on EU grant cycles. The result is a public discourse that rarely interrogates the real cost of intervention. And almost never measures what a freer economy could deliver.
The Free Society Institute was founded to change that. We take no government money, no EU structural funds, and no corporate donations from entities that live off state contracts. Our only accountability is to the evidence and to our donors.
